About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Linux operating systems, server administration, troubleshooting, security hardening, networking, and infrastructure operations.
The candidate should have practical experience working with RHEL, Rocky Linux, CentOS, and Ubuntu environments and should be comfortable supporting business-critical Linux infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support RHEL, Rocky Linux, CentOS, and Ubuntu environments.
- Manage users, groups, permissions, services, packages, and system configurations.
- Perform package management using YUM, DNF, and APT.
- Manage filesystems, storage, system services, and boot processes.
- Perform log analysis and troubleshoot Linux OS-related issues.
Networking & Troubleshooting
- Support and troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, FTP, and SSH.
- Understand and troubleshoot Broadcast and Multicast communication.
- Diagnose connectivity issues using tools such as ping, traceroute, tcpdump, netstat, ss, and nmap.
- Support basic VLAN and routing-related troubleshooting.
Server Hardware
- Understand enterprise server hardware and components.
- Basic knowledge of CPU sockets/cores, memory modules, RAID, and storage configurations.
- Perform basic server hardware troubleshooting and remote server management.
- Support server provisioning and decommissioning activities.
Security & Compliance
- Perform Linux Server Hardening as per defined security standards.
- Support vulnerability remediation and security compliance activities.
- Analyze and close VA/CA findings within defined timelines.
- Manage basic host-level firewall configurations using firewalld and iptables.
- Support patching and security-related infrastructure activities.
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Monitor CPU, Memory, Disk, Network, and overall system performance.
- Troubleshoot incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Work with monitoring tools such as Site24x7, Dynatrace, or equivalent platforms.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and support timely resolution.
Scripting & Infrastructure
- Develop basic Bash / Shell scripts for routine administration.
- Automate scheduled activities using cron jobs.
- Basic understanding of Ansible will be preferred.
- Support Linux servers hosted on VMware / virtualized environments.
- Understand backup, restore, server provisioning, and decommissioning processes.

Qualification
- Graduate / Diploma / Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical discipline.
