About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Cloud Engineer – L1 to support and monitor enterprise cloud infrastructure across AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.
The candidate will be responsible for cloud monitoring, incident management, basic troubleshooting, access administration, deployment support, security compliance, and cloud cost monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Monitor and support AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) and Azure (Virtual Machines, Storage, Managed Databases).
- Perform routine infrastructure health checks and follow standard operating procedures.
- Monitor cloud service availability, performance, and resource utilization.
- Support cloud infrastructure changes through defined change management processes.
- Escalate complex technical issues to L2/L3 teams.
Incident & Support Management
- Respond to cloud infrastructure alerts, incidents, and service requests.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and issue diagnosis.
- Categorize, document, and escalate unresolved incidents.
- Coordinate with internal teams and cloud service providers for issue resolution.
- Support critical incident recovery and root cause analysis activities.
Deployment & CI/CD Support
- Assist with cloud application deployments and infrastructure updates.
- Support CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
- Gain exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.
- Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams during deployments.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudWatch and Azure Monitor.
- Generate uptime, performance, resource utilization, and incident reports.
- Maintain monitoring dashboards and alerts.
- Identify recurring infrastructure issues and report potential improvements.
Identity & Access Management
- Manage basic cloud user provisioning and access requests.
- Support AWS IAM and Azure RBAC administration.
- Follow established access control, tagging, and naming policies.
- Assist with periodic user access reviews and audits.
Security & Compliance
- Perform routine cloud security checks and vulnerability monitoring.
- Support patching and remediation activities as per approved SOPs.
- Work with tools such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, AWS Inspector, and PingSafe.
- Assist with cloud security audits and CIS benchmark compliance.
- Escalate security findings and coordinate remediation activities.
Cloud Cost Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor cloud resource consumption and identify unusual usage patterns.
- Support cost tracking through AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Management.
- Ensure resource tagging and scheduled shutdown of non-production environments.
- Assist senior engineers with cloud cost optimization recommendations.
Documentation & Automation Support
- Maintain incident logs, runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation.
- Record troubleshooting activities and resolutions.
- Support basic automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Azure CLI.
- Assist L2/L3 teams with operational improvements and routine task automation.

Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech or relevant technical degree

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
